Goodbye Vltavská was a parkour gathering paying tribute to the Vltavská cascades, which became famous not only because it was THE most iconic parkour spot in Prague, known to the whole world, but also because it was a big part of the history of this sport in the Czech Republic.
Due to new city plans, this parkour landmark was scheduled to be destroyed, so that new buildings could be built. The Prague parkour community, mainly team Avanti Garda, knew about this in advance. A few months before they tore it down, they organised this event to say one last big goodbye to this iconic location that will stay in the hearts of many even long after its demolishment.
For this event, more than 300 people from all around the world came for this spectacular event to not only train at this spot for the last time, but also to have a good time and make amazing memories. And this event was all about that and went extremely well.
This photo series was made during this jam and documented the jam atmosphere and jumps.
One of the photographs of mine also won the first place in the Avanti Garda photo competition, which was part of the event.
