About the process of making music visuals

I have always been fascinated by music since I could remember.

Music plays a big part in my life and there are not many things I care about more. I began attending live music events at 15 years old and haven't stopped ever since.

In 2022, I began experimenting with music visualisation - combining images and sound to achieve a specific experience where one complements the other.

Inspired by KGLW show, especially Jason Galea's work, I started doing visuals for my friend’s bands.

Since 2023 I began working with old analog video processors, which I circuit-bent (modified) to fit my specific needs - essentially to make them more glitchy and crazy. This is among the most noticeable features in my visuals today.

Right now, my go-to setup for live visuals is a laptop with video-generating software, downscaled to a video signal that goes into two modified analog video processors + camera input of the band playing. By mixing everything up, together with the band we can create an incredible audiovisual performance.

To my knowledge, I am right now one of only 3 people working with modified analog gear for visuals in the Czech Republic.
